Patient Impact: 

"I treated a patient who underwent cancer treatment, and as a result began to lose many of his teeth when his front teeth became loose and needed to be extracted. He needed a consult for extractions due to risk of osteoradionecrosis, but was worried that his teeth would fall out and he would not be able to perform his job dealing with people. We fabricated an appliance to stabilize his teeth until he could meet with the oral surgeon and get his teeth extracted and replaced with a permanent bridge."
